LTT Learning – Helping you to help your child
At Lighthouse Learning we understand the needs of children and young people. We know that they can benefit from extra support and attention from time to time during their school lives. This is why we developed Lighthouse Learning Group Tuition (LTT Learning).
LTT offers a curriculum designed to:
- Improve reading, writing and speaking and listening skills;
- Develop understanding and competence in mathematics;
- Help primary aged children prepare for and do well in SAT tests;
- Support secondary school students achieve higher grades in their GCSEs.
We cater for all ages and abilities and are proud to maintain an excellent staff to student ratio. We design and deliver individually tailored programmes of learning to meet the specific needs of each individual learner. Our team of fully qualified and experienced teachers ensure that learning sessions are interactive, stimulating, productive and enjoyable.
We know that as a parent you like to know how your child is doing. This is why we provide teacher-to-parent reports each term, detailing the progress made and outlining, where necessary, areas for further development.

How it works:
Our LTT Learning is delivered in small nurture groups of up to 5 learners. We only have 2 groups learning at the same time, in separate rooms. Each group will have a tutor who will have prepared your child's learning plan in advance. Each child is unique but we believe that learning in small groups assists in building confidence, communication skills and teamwork skills. Indeed, in English, speaking and listening are key learning areas within the National Curriculum.
We encourage your child to bring their homework so that we can assess their progress and learning. This also helps us to ensure that our teaching is closely matched to their school work.
