LTT Learning – Helping you to help your child
At Lighthouse Learning we understand the needs of children and young people. We know that they can benefit from extra support and attention from time to time during their school lives. This is why we developed Lighthouse Learning Group Tuition (LTT Learning).
LTT offers a curriculum designed to:
- Improve reading, writing and speaking and listening skills;
- Develop understanding and competence in mathematics;
- Help primary aged children prepare for and do well in SAT tests;
- Support secondary school students achieve higher grades in their GCSEs.
We cater for all ages and abilities and are proud to maintain an excellent staff to student ratio. We design and deliver individually tailored programmes of learning to meet the specific needs of each individual learner. Our team of fully qualified and experienced teachers ensure that learning sessions are interactive, stimulating, productive and enjoyable.
We know that as a parent you like to know how your child is doing. This is why we provide teacher-to-parent reports each term, detailing the progress made and outlining, where necessary, areas for further development.

Our Services
For Learners
Alternative Education
At Lighthouse we provide alternative education and use foundation level qualifications to ensure young people reach their potential. Contact us for more details on how we can support your learners.
Foundation Learning
We offer Foundation Learning qualifications in:
- English
- Maths
- Science
- PHSE subjects
Our teachers and youth workers are able to support small groups or individual learners from one -to-one tuition and support on school site to working with small groups off site. We don’t believe in working with large numbers because we provide tailored personal learning to those young people who need it most.
Out staff will work with you and the learners to develop a personal learning plan. We hold an initial meeting with the school to assess the learners and develop the personal learning plan and contract with the learners.

Feedback has been really good
"I thought it was well laid out and very good for use with people that are inexperienced in using portfolios. I have not used it as yet but I am likely to use it as a resource when showing other groups how to assist with portfolio building. The pictures and diagrams are accessible and I will use it in our NLDC project in which we are supporting volunteers to support other volunteers to build a portfolio. I liked it a lot and it was well worth the money, thanks"
