Volunteer Success
Two of Lighthouse Learning volunteers have recently been celebrating some well deserved personnel success.
Craig Miller has volunteered with Lighthouse Learning for over two years and has been part of the Inclusion Club at Watershed Youth Centre. Craig was nominated for the Leicester Young (council) volunteer of the year and came runner up, well done Craig!
Sumeia Mussa has volunteered with Lighthouse Learning for a year and a half and has used her volunteering experience as a springboard to gain sessional work with us as an academic coach at Babington Community College.
Sumeia has just received an offer of a place on a PGCE in secondary biology at Leicester University, which she will start in 2011, after she has graduated. It was her experience at Lighthouse Learning that contributed towards her securing a place on the PGCE.
We wish Craig and Sumeia every success for the future.
